Tangent Table Lamp

An experimental study of tubes and proportion led German designer Frederik Kurzweg to this lamp of two meeting cylinders.

The slim tube carries the electrics; the wide one becomes the shade, capped with opal glass that throws soft, indirect light — switched off, the lamp reads as a single cylinder. Its saturated colorways bring graphic color to the WOUD lighting collection.

Common Questions

What kind of light does the Tangent Table Lamp give?
Soft, indirect light. The bulb sits inside the large tube and glows up through an opal glass disc, so you get warmth without glare — suited to sideboards, shelves, and bedside tables.

What bulb does the Tangent take?
A standard E12 candelabra bulb up to 25W, purchased separately. The US version is cUL-listed, and the on/off switch sits conveniently on the fabric-covered cord.
