Tanso Bench
A 45.7-inch span of Grade A teak works at the dining table, in the hallway, or under a window.
David Irwin shaped the Tanso Bench with the same Japanese-influenced clarity as the rest of his series for Case Furniture — balanced proportions, honest joinery, no ornament. Naturally weather-resistant teak lets it serve outdoors year-round, while its restraint suits entryways and bedrooms just as well.

Common Questions
How many people can sit on it?
Two adults comfortably at a dining table, matching the Tanso tables' height and detailing. As occasional seating or a hallway perch, it takes daily use in stride.
Is there a cushion for it?
Yes — the Tanso Bench Cushion (sold separately) is tailored to the seat, covered in UV- and mold-resistant Textilene, and secures with discreet toggle buttons.
Does it require assembly?
No — the bench arrives fully assembled. At 51 pounds it is stable in wind but still movable between garden, terrace, and indoors.
