Tiptoe ETUDE Chair

The ETUDE Chair is one of Tiptoe's most recent additions and a reinterpretation of a school-chair archetype — a familiar shape, executed with the studio's signature attention to assembly, material and disassembly. Designed by the Tiptoe design studio in Paris and produced in Lithuania, ETUDE pairs a powder-coated steel frame with a curved FSC/PEFC-certified European oak (PEFC/07-31-60) seat and a separate oak backrest. The result is a side chair with a relaxed, almost domestic silhouette that still works in dining-room rotation. Tiptoe is a Certified B Corp (2021) and manufactures across roughly 20 European partner workshops. ETUDE follows the same modular logic as the rest of the catalog: it assembles with a single Allen key in a few minutes, demounts at end of life so the oak and steel can be recycled separately, and ships flat in a single compact carton.

Dimensions: W17.3 × D30.7 × H19.7 in with a standard dining seat height. Weight is 10.6 lbs — light enough to move around easily. Available in two powder-coated finishes paired with natural oak: Graphite Black and Cream White. 2-year manufacturer warranty. Care: dust the oak with a soft dry cloth, wipe spills immediately, and apply a neutral furniture wax annually. For the steel, a damp cloth and mild detergent are sufficient; avoid abrasives, solvents, and alcohol-based cleaners. Fully demountable at end of life.
