Tiptoe LOU Bar Stool

The LOU Bar Stool extends the LOU vocabulary upward — same triangular footprint, same powder-coated steel construction, same FSC/PEFC-certified European oak seat (PEFC/07-31-60), at counter height. Designed by the Tiptoe design studio in Paris and made in Lithuania, this is a tall stool intended for kitchen islands, bar counters, and high tables at the 29-30 inch range. The seat is a solid oak triangle, deliberately small and footprint-efficient so several stools can line up under a counter without crowding. The steel frame uses the same modular language as Tiptoe's table-leg system — screws disassemble for transport, ship flat, recycle by material. Tiptoe is a Certified B Corp (2021) and manufactures across roughly 20 European partner workshops. The triangular seat is a small design statement that pays off: it discourages slouching, keeps the silhouette open under the counter, and reads as a single confident shape rather than a generic upholstered seat.

Available in two powder-coated finishes paired with a natural oak seat: Graphite Black and Cream White. Assembly with the supplied Allen key and screws takes a few minutes. The oak seat develops a soft patina with use; wax annually with a neutral furniture wax and wipe spills immediately to avoid water rings. Dust the powder-coated steel with a soft cloth and clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent — never abrasives or solvents. Demountable at end of life so the steel and the oak can be recycled separately.
