PANORAMA Outdoor Armchair

The PANORAMA armchair is Tiptoe's folded-steel outdoor chair with armrests, its lines drawn from Gerrit Rietveld's Beugel chair.

Tiptoe, the Paris studio founded in 2015 and a Certified B Corp since 2022, makes it in France and Lithuania from sheet steel primed by cataphoresis, an electro-chemical epoxy coat used on cars and street furniture, then powder-coated. Embossed perforations in the seat let rain drain away, and the chair dismantles for repair. Pair it with the armless PANORAMA chair or browse the Tiptoe collection.

Common Questions

How is it different from the PANORAMA chair?
It adds armrests and weighs 19.8 lbs against the chair's 17.6 lbs. Tiptoe gives both the same 18.1 in seat height, seat size and footprint, so the two mix at one table, and both stack up to four high.

Will the steel rust?
The steel is primed by cataphoresis, an electro-chemical epoxy layer applied before the powder coat, which Tiptoe calls its most effective rust protection. Tiptoe does not recommend daily use on the seafront, where salt air attacks metal.

Can it stay outside all year?
It is built for terraces and gardens, but Tiptoe recommends storing PANORAMA somewhere dry and well ventilated over winter, since frost and damp are hardest on outdoor furniture. It arrives fully assembled and stacks four high.
