Tiptoe SSDr Recycled Plastic Dining Chair

Same steel frame as the SSD, with a seat and back molded from recycled plastic instead of wood.

Thibault Faverie designed the SSDr for Tiptoe: polypropylene takes pigment cleanly, resists knocks, and is itself widely recycled at end of life. The frame is the studio's modular powder-coated steel system, so the chair assembles in minutes, stacks, and demounts so the plastic and steel can be recycled separately. How much assembly does the SSDr need?
Minutes. The seat and back mount to the modular steel frame with the supplied fixings, and the chair demounts the same way for transport or so the plastic and steel can be recycled as separate streams.

Does it fit a standard dining table?
Yes. The seat sits at 18.1 in, matched to dining tables around 29.5 in high, and the chair shares its 19.7 x 18.9 in footprint with the wood SSD so the two can be mixed around one table.

How do I clean the recycled plastic seat?
A damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasives, solvents and alcohol-based cleaners, which dull the finish on both the polypropylene and the powder-coated steel.
