Toledo Chair (Set of 4)

Jorge Pensi's 1988 aluminium classic, remoulded in 2026 from a single piece of post-consumer recycled polypropylene.

The original Toledo won an ADI Delta award and became a fixture of Spanish terraces; Pensi Design Studio's Aire version keeps the open geometry and soft radiused edges but forms them in one shot using gas-assisted moulding. The plastic is 100 percent post-consumer recycled polypropylene with recycled fiberglass — old products, not virgin resin. Made in Spain by Resol. Sold as a set of four in one color — Resol packs them four to a box.

Common Questions

Can it stay outside?
Yes, for regular outdoor use. The polypropylene is UV protected and moulded in one piece with no joints or fasteners to corrode. Resol builds it for heavy but not permanent outdoor use, so store it under cover when it will sit unused for long stretches.

How do I clean it?
Rinse with clean water at moderate pressure. For stubborn marks, use a neutral detergent solution on a clean damp cloth, then dry the chair thoroughly rather than leaving it wet.

Does it stack?
Yes. Toledo Aire is designed to stack, which is why it is specified so often for cafes and hotel terraces. Four chairs at 8.5 lb each store in a small footprint.
