Toro Table Lamp

The Toro table lamp is our first design to combine both wood and printed parts. The design and name take inspiration from traditional Japanese stone light towers used to illuminate paths and religious ceremonies. Our hope with this design is to make any corner of your home feel like a peaceful place to unwind and relax. Crafted with oak, it's part of Terra Labs's commitment to sustainable, long-lasting lighting.

Each of the dowels used to manufacture the Toro is made with hand cut solid oak and sanded to ensure a smooth finish. Material choices like oak, stone speak to Terra Labs's focus on quality and environmental responsibility. The Toro Table Lamp is built to hold up over years of daily use, reducing the cycle of replacement that drives waste. Choosing well-made lighting is one of the simplest ways to live more sustainably without sacrificing style or comfort.

Terra Labs began with a simple idea: make home lighting feel warmer, calmer, and more human. Founded in a small Southern California garage, the brand was born when its founder couldn’t find a table lamp that truly softened a space. Using 3D printing and leftover lamp parts, Terra Labs started designing modern, minimalist lamps that prioritize comfort over glare and atmosphere over excess. Today, the brand continues to create design-forward lighting meant to slow things down—bringing warmth, balance, and quiet presence into everyday interiors.

At the core of Terra Labs is a thoughtful approach to sustainable design and modern furniture innovation. Each piece is made to order in California using low-energy 3D printing and plant-based or recycled PLA, a renewable material derived from sources like corn or beet. Simple geometric forms allow for easy repair, modularity, and long product life, supporting a right-to-repair philosophy and responsible end-of-life recycling. With minimal waste, on-demand production, and an eye toward future at-home 3D printing, Terra Labs is quietly redefining what eco-friendly lighting and circular production can look like—one cozy space at a time.
