Trumpet Coat Stand

Space Copenhagen set nine cast-aluminum discs at angles on a 78.7-inch stem, and Mater casts them from a raw material derived from 70 percent aluminum waste.

The discs come in three sizes and catch coats, hats, scarves and umbrellas by angle rather than by hook. They are made by sand casting, an old technique still worked by hand in a small workshop in northern India, which is why no two surfaces are quite identical. Choose black powder coat or the natural polished aluminum, which shows the casting grain. Trumpet ships flat-packed to cut transport volume, and it carries the same restraint as the rest of our Mater collection.
