Tor Hadsund designed The Reader for UMAGE's Copenhagen studio, curving its shell in a shape inspired by traditional Danish crafting techniques to soften surrounding noise. Interchangeable upholstery — from 100% recycled Horizons textile to OEKO-TEX®-certified Hope leather, Teddy Bear textile, Kvadrat fabrics, or Nordic Swan-labelled Dunes leather — lets the cover change without buying a new chair.

Can I change the upholstery later?
Yes — The Reader has interchangeable upholstery, so the cover can be swapped for a different textile or leather without replacing the chair.

Are all upholstery options available immediately?
Most ship as shown, but Hope leather, Kvadrat textiles, and a few Horizons colors are made to order — contact sales@umage.com for details.

How do I clean the upholstery?
Vacuum regularly on a low setting and blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — do not rub. Many UMAGE covers are removable for deeper cleaning.
