Wind Armchair (Set of 4)

Josep Lluscà's Wind is a stackable armchair made for terraces and kitchen tables: UV-protected polypropylene, horizontal back slats and arms at a relaxed 26 inches.

Wind comes from Garbar, the hospitality line of Resinas Olot, the company behind Resol in Les Preses, Girona, and it is made in Spain. It is built for the kind of use a restaurant terrace sees: tested to the European contract standards UNE-EN 16139 and UNE-EN 581, about 7 lb per chair, and it stacks seven high when the season ends. We stock it in White, Sand and Dark Grey. Sold as a set of four in one color — Garbar packs them four to a box.

Common Questions

Can it stay outside?
Yes. Garbar makes Wind for indoor and outdoor use in UV-protected polypropylene, and there is no metal to rust. Stacking the chairs under cover in the off-season keeps them looking their best.

Is it made from recycled plastic?
No. Wind is standard injected polypropylene. Garbar's recycled Green Edition versions have been discontinued, so this is the Wind available now, and our Sustainability Meter scores it accordingly.

What table does it suit?
The seat is 17.7 in high, which suits standard 28 to 30 in dining tables. The arms sit at 26 in, so they tuck under a table only if there is at least 26 in of clearance below the apron.

How many can I stack?
Up to seven, according to Garbar's technical sheet.

Why is it sold in fours?
Garbar packs the Wind four to a box, one color per box, so we sell it the same way. The price covers all four chairs, and the per-chair price is shown beside it.
