Hibo Hippopotamus Sculpture
Tilt the head and Hibo's whole mood changes — Steffen Juul's hippopotamus in solid oak.
The Copenhagen designer, whose studio dates to 2009, carries on the Danish tradition of architects carving expressive wooden animals. Hibo's deep black eyes and pivoting head give the solid oak sculpture a wondering, charming look — alone or beside its Rina and Nunu siblings in the WOUD collection.

Common Questions
Does the head really move?
Yes — Hibo's head tilts to either side, changing the sculpture's expression from curious to bashful. It is the design's signature across Juul's wooden animal family.
Is Hibo a toy?
It is a decorative sculpture in solid lacquered oak rather than a certified toy — display it on shelves, desks, or nurseries as an object to be enjoyed and handled gently.
