Monolith Incense Holder

Designed by Oleg Pugachev, the Monolith Incense Holder sits within WOUD's broader catalogue of contemporary Danish design. Oleg Pugachev is a designer based in Hamburg, Germany, working at the intersection of industrial design and sculpture. The piece embodies WOUD's design philosophy: simple, functional, and pared back — without leaning on ornament or finish gimmicks. Made from a solid, rectangular block of marble, Monolith incense holder embraces contemplation and while-being while embodying production and material optimisation. The cylindrical holder is cut out of the block, leaving a hollow centre to place the piece vertically. Clever use of counterweight and friction holds the incense sticks at the perfect angle while the plate provides a platform for burning incense cones or a piece of lava rock, which serves as an essential oil diffuser.
Constructed from light brown marble 4 pcs./box. Dimensions — L 7.9 in x W 2 in x H 0.8 in. Made in China under WOUD's quality supervision. Care: Marble shows natural variations in colour and pattern. Wipe with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water; dry immediately. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus).
