The Wub is the design the rest of the Terra Labs catalog grew out of — printed to order in California from PLA, a biopolymer made from corn, sugar cane, and sugar beet. It is built for a bedside or a reading corner rather than for task light, and arrives with a 2200 K amber LED fitted.

Common Questions

Is it bright enough to read by?
It is an ambient lamp, not a task light. The included bulb is a 60-watt-equivalent LED at 2200 K — deliberately warm and low — and the inline dimmer takes it lower still.

Can I use a smart bulb?
Not with the dimmer cable supplied. Terra Labs will ship a plain on/off cable instead if you note it on the order, and that version works with a smart bulb.

What does the waved shade do to the light?
It scatters it. The rolling profile breaks the output into soft bands rather than a single pool, which is the effect the design takes from clouds at sunset.
