Arcus Mirror - Natural Oiled Oak

Arcus Mirror frames a 35.4 x 17.7 inch wall mirror in solid oak with the softly rounded profile edges of the Arcus shelves, a detail Nanna Aakjær took from her grandfather Jørgen Aakjær Jørgensen's furniture.

It is the newest piece in the Arcus series from Aakjaer, and it works on its own or as part of a set. Hung above the Arcus Console it makes a compact hallway station: keys and gloves on the ledge, a last look on the way out. Turned the other way, it pairs with the 35.4-inch Arcus Shelf Medium. The frame is FSC-certified solid oak with a natural oil finish, the same as the shelves it is designed to hang with.

Common Questions

Can it hang horizontally?
Yes. Arcus Mirror is made to hang either way: upright above the Arcus Console in a hallway, or turned on its side above the Arcus Shelf Medium, which shares its 35.4-inch length.

What pairs with it?
Aakjaer designed it with the Arcus Console Shelf in mind: the half-moon ledge below the mirror gives you a place for keys and post. Both come in natural oiled oak to match.

Can I hang it in a bathroom?
No. Aakjaer recommends Arcus Mirror for indoor rooms only, away from bathrooms and other wet rooms, where moisture can affect the oiled oak frame. Keep it out of strong direct sun too.
