Benoit Loos and Philippe Delaisse founded Ethnicraft in Antwerp more than 30 years ago. It makes solid oak and teak furniture in its own factories, and its Re-Loved programme refurbishes pieces for a second life.

Blend Lounge Table
Ethnicraft built the Blend range around one Dark Bronze pedestal and a family of interchangeable tops, so a table can change its surface instead of being replaced.
The Blend lounge table from Ethnicraft is the low member of the range: 35.5 inches across and 27 inches high, a café height between coffee table and dining table that suits a corner armchair, a hotel lobby or a breakfast nook. The seven tops span varnished European oak in natural, brown and black, powder-coated metal, hand-finished Minerals and microcement, and Muschio nubuck leather, each bolted to the same weighted base. Ethnicraft designed the system for commercial use, so the base is a heavy metal plate and the tops carry a 132-pound rating.

Does the Blend lounge table need assembly?
Yes, light self-assembly. The top and the base ship in two cartons; you bolt the top to the pedestal with the included hardware and set the adjustable glides. No tools beyond the supplied kit are needed.
How high is a lounge table compared with a dining table?
The Blend lounge table is 27 inches high, three inches lower than a standard 30-inch dining table. It suits lounge chairs and low armchairs rather than dining chairs, and seats two comfortably.
Can I change the top later?
Yes. Every Blend top fits the same 35.5-inch Dark Bronze lounge base, and Ethnicraft sells tops and bases separately, so you can move from oak to Minerals or leather without replacing the pedestal.
