Spine RPET Rug

Eleanor Pritchard has woven rugs for Case since 2017; Spine, her newest flat-weave design, is handwoven in India from 100% recycled PET yarn.

Pritchard is a London weaver whose patterns come from traditional British cloth and the geometry of everyday objects. Spine sets a stacked checkerboard motif on a horizontal band and runs a fine dotted pinstripe the length of the rug, graphic from across a room without shouting. Case weaves it in rPET, a yarn spun from recycled plastic, in two marled neutrals: Warm Grey with white detailing and Beige with black. The flat weave keeps the profile low, so doors clear it and chairs move easily over it.

Which size should I choose?
170 x 240 cm is about 5 ft 7 in by 7 ft 10 in and suits a coffee table with the sofa's front legs on it. 200 x 300 cm, about 6 ft 7 in by 9 ft 10 in, carries a full seating group.

Is the Spine rug really made from recycled plastic?
Yes. Case weaves it from rPET, a polyester yarn made from recycled PET plastic, and states the content as 100% recycled. It is handwoven on a loom in India, which is what gives it the flat, low profile.

How do I clean it?
Vacuum it regularly and blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth without rubbing. If a stain remover is needed, test it on a hidden corner first. Rotating the rug now and then evens out wear.
