A modular recessed spotlight built around a field-replaceable light engine instead of a disposable bulb.
Core pairs a powder-coated aluminium housing with Tala's T50 Light Engine, a module rated for roughly 30,000 hours and designed to be swapped rather than thrown away once it eventually dims. It's part of the same Tala collection at Comosum as Tala's pendants and portables. Tala designs every fixture in London as a certified B Corporation.

Can Core be installed in a bathroom or outdoors?
No — Core is rated IP20, which offers no protection against moisture, so it's built for dry indoor ceilings only.
What happens when the light engine wears out?
The T50 Light Engine is designed to be field-replaceable at the end of its roughly 30,000-hour life, so an electrician can swap the module instead of replacing the whole fixture.
Which color temperature should I choose?
Choose the 2000–3000K Dim to Warm option if you want the light to shift warmer as you dim it, or one of the fixed options (2200K, 2700K, 3000K) for a consistent color temperature at every brightness.
