Paul Newman founded Case in 2005. Matthew Hilton and Terence Woodgate, both Royal Designers for Industry, have designed for it since the first collection, and it reissues Robin Day's 1964 Forum sofa with the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation.

Matthew Hilton shaped the Ella Ottoman to mirror the curves of the Ella Lounge Chair, in the same soft bouclé fabrics, so the pair reads as one piece. On its own it serves as a perch, a footrest, or a soft surface anywhere in the Case Furniture lineup's orbit.
