Paul Newman founded Case in 2005. Matthew Hilton and Terence Woodgate, both Royal Designers for Industry, have designed for it since the first collection, and it reissues Robin Day's 1964 Forum sofa with the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation.

Ella Swivel Chair
A 360-degree swivel that glides back to center on its own — small engineering, felt daily.
Matthew Hilton's Ella Swivel Lounge Chair keeps the winged, wrap-around back of the original and adds a self-returning swivel base in black or chrome. Upholstered in bouclé or partially plant-based Ultrasuede, it is the most mobile seat in the Case Furniture Ella series.

Does the seat return to its original position?
Yes — the 360-degree swivel base is self-returning, so the chair quietly rotates back to face forward after you stand up. No twisted, off-axis chair left behind.
How is it different from the Ella Lounge Chair?
Same shell, same comfort — the difference is the base. The Swivel version replaces the fixed wood or steel legs with a rotating base offered in black or chrome.
How should I clean the upholstery?
Blot spills right away, avoid solvents, and book a professional upholstery clean roughly once a year. Ultrasuede tolerates daily wear especially well.
