Tala was founded in 2015 by three Edinburgh University friends. Its London team designs and engineers its LED lighting in-house, in aluminium and brass rather than plastic, and builds it to be durable and repairable.

Elva Pendant Light, Non-Tinted
A single pendant built around Elva's clear-glass, exposed-filament bulb for a crisper look than the tinted version.
Available in Brass, Graphite, Oak, and Walnut, this single pendant threads a standard E26 socket, so the fixture and its matched clear-glass LED filament bulb ship as one ready-to-hang set. Elva also comes in a tinted, amber-glass finish, sold separately since the glass change affects the light's tone, not just its color. Common Questions
Is the bulb included?
Yes — the fixture ships with Tala's Elva non-tinted bulb already threaded into its E26 socket, so it's ready to hang and switch on as soon as it's wired in.
Do I need a dimmer?
A dimmer isn't required, but connecting Elva to a compatible dimmer lets you use its full brightness range smoothly instead of just on/off.
Is non-tinted glass brighter than tinted?
Tala's own spec sheet lists identical 420-lumen output for both versions — the non-tinted glass changes the look of the light (clearer vs. amber) more than its intensity.
