Bornholm’s oak dinghies — admired for their proportions, construction, and joints — gave Rasmus Appel the blueprint for a display cabinet.

Appel, an industrial designer trained at the Royal Danish Academy, drew the Boderne for FDB Møbler as a simple wooden display case with honest storage behind it. This is the lowest of the three heights at 41.7 inches — oak, nature lacquered, with shelves tested to 44 lbs.
