C35C Dining table

At 32 1/4" × 32 1/4", the C35A is the smallest table in our C35 series. It’s a perfect fit for the kitchen, a small apartment, or a cottage. Poul M. Volther’s aim in designing the C35 tables (available in three sizes) was to create a simple, stylish table that perfectly complements many of FDB Møbler’s popular chairs. The C35s are light, functional, and available with three different tabletops. The C35A comfortably seats four, and with the addition of two extension leaves (each 10 5/8" × 32 1/4"), the table expands to accommodate six to eight people. Leaves are available for purchase online. The design is adapted to modern dimensions and seating comfort. The tabletop is oak veneer, while the frame, pullout bars, and legs are crafted from solid oak, FSC-certified from European forests. Wood is a natural material, so slight differences in appearance may occur, including subtle variations within the same piece.

Poul M. Volther (1923–2001) succeeded Børge Mogensen as head of the FDB Møbler design studio in 1950. A trained cabinetmaker and lecturer at the Royal Danish Academy, he created the iconic J46 chair—Denmark's best-selling chair with over 850,000 units sold.
