FDB Møbler began in 1942, when Børge Mogensen set out to make furniture that was both beautiful and affordable. It still makes his designs alongside new ones, and every piece is tested at the Danish Technological Institute.

Left untreated, the solid pine shows exactly what it is — and takes on character with every year of use.
Katrine Sander, the trained carpenter who serves as Product and Design Manager at FDB Møbler, built the D108 Ragnesminde series on old materials handled honestly: pine, and — on the painted versions — hand-made linseed-oil paint from Linolie & Pigment A/S in Øsby. This untreated table is the plainest of the series, named for the farmhouse that houses FDB's headquarters.
