Clean curves, black steel, warm oak veneer — and armrests: the Holmen chair grown into its host role.

Named after the Danish word for islet, Jakob Thau's J183 Holmen for FDB Møbler blends maritime references with modern restraint. The armrest version keeps the stackable steel frame and shaped oak veneer seat of the J182 while widening the stance to 23.6 inches.
