The armchair that helped Denmark shed its heavy upholstery, back after seventy years — in taupe.

Volther's 1953 J53 for FDB Møbler introduced a lighter, functionalist alternative to the fully stuffed living-room chairs of its era. The 2024 relaunch pairs a nature-oiled oak frame with Grain Taupe (61230) upholstery — soft color, spare frame.
