J53 Armchair - Beige

Cream bouclé-toned upholstery on an open oak frame — the gentlest reading of Volther's 1953 breakthrough.

The J53 armchair returned to the FDB Møbler lineup in 2024, seventy-one years after Volther's light functionalist design challenged the fully upholstered norm. This version pairs nature-oiled oak with Monza Beige (00) fabric.

The Monza fabric's textured surface hides everyday contact better than flat weaves, and the exposed oak frame takes the arm-wear an upholstered arm would absorb.
