M15 Ermelunden Bench With out backrest
Børge Mogensen gave this 1965 garden bench wide feet so it would never sink into the lawn.
The M15 Ermelunden bench without backrest, here in nature-oiled pine, belongs to the garden series Mogensen named after a small forest near his Gentofte home — and liked enough to keep at his own house and summer cottage. Made today by FDB Møbler, where Mogensen was founding design chief in 1942.

Common Questions
Why the wide, flat feet?
Pure Mogensen functionalism — broad feet spread the bench's weight so the legs do not sink into grass or soft ground, letting Ermelunden live on the lawn, not just the patio.
How does oiled pine handle weather?
The nature-oil finish protects the pine's surface; re-oil regularly and store the bench dry over winter to keep the light wood tone and extend its life outdoors.
Is there a matching seat cushion?
Yes — the M28 Ermelunden cushion fits both the M15 and M16 benches, in weather-suited acrylic fabric.
