Built to stand its ground: Mogensen's 1965 garden table in dense thermo ash, wide-footed for soft Danish lawns.
The M17 Ermelunden garden table in nature-oiled thermo-treated ash anchors the outdoor series Børge Mogensen named after a forest near his Gentofte home. Like the benches, it stands on broad feet that will not sink into grass — functional to the last detail, as FDB Møbler's founding design chief insisted.

How many people can dine at it?
Six comfortably — the 74.8 in top takes three seats a side, and the matching M15 or M16 benches slide alongside for flexible numbers.
Can the table stay out all year?
Thermo-treated ash resists moisture and movement far better than untreated wood; re-oil the surface periodically and it is built for many seasons outdoors. Its 121.2 lbs also mean it stays where you put it.
