R33 - Kirkeby - Towel Set - Rainy Day

Named for a village, patterned after a chair, colored like Danish weather — towels with a biography.

The R33 Kirkeby towel set in Rainy Day carries Gitte Lægård's graphic homage to Jørgen Bækmark's 1962 dining chairs, named for her birthplace Mejrup Kirkeby. Another quiet chapter in FDB Møbler's design story, running since 1942.

Common Questions

What tone is Rainy Day?
A soft, atmospheric grey-blue — the gentler of the two Kirkeby colorways, next to the darker Granite Gray set.

Why does a design brand make towels?
FDB Møbler's textile line extends the same design thinking to daily objects — here connecting bath linen to the furniture heritage of Bækmark's 1962 chairs.

Care Guide +

FDB Møbler furniture is crafted from FSC-certified wood, powder-coated steel, and OEKO-TEX textiles. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Dust with a soft cloth; clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For lacquered surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals. For oiled wood, re-oil periodically. For upholstery, vacuum regularly and address spills promptly. Lift furniture rather than dragging across floors.
