R5 Nøje Seat cushion

Grey wool softens the geometry — the J46's tailored cushion in its coziest material.

The R5 Nøje seat cushion for the J46 chair in mottled grey wool brings textile warmth to Poul M. Volther's classic frame, cut to the seat's 15.3 x 14.6 in outline by FDB Møbler. OEKO-TEX certified textiles; GRS-certified suppliers.

Common Questions

Is wool practical on a dining chair?
Yes — wool resists odors and compression naturally; vacuum it occasionally and rotate it now and then for even wear at the table.

Does grey wool match a painted J46?
The mottled grey is close to neutral — it calms bright painted frames and blends quietly with natural and black versions alike.

Care Guide +

FDB Møbler furniture is crafted from FSC-certified wood, powder-coated steel, and OEKO-TEX textiles. Keep away from direct heat and sunlight. Dust with a soft cloth; clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For lacquered surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals. For oiled wood, re-oil periodically. For upholstery, vacuum regularly and address spills promptly. Lift furniture rather than dragging across floors.
