Todd Bracher designed the Trea around a solid-state mechanism — a die-cast aluminum joint that flexes rather than pivoting — giving roughly 12 degrees of give as you lean back. Is there anything to adjust on the Trea?
No. The recline is solid-state, meaning the aluminum joint flexes under your weight instead of turning on a mechanism. There are no knobs or levers to set, which is why it suits shared meeting rooms.

How heavy is it to move?
Twenty pounds. That is light enough to carry in one hand between rooms, and it is part of why Humanscale positions the Trea as a multi-use chair rather than a fixed desk chair.
