Trea Task Chair

Designed by Todd Bracher — twice nominated for International Designer of the Year — the Humanscale Trea is a lightweight chair built around a solid-state recline mechanism with zero moving parts. The contoured shell cradles the body through a 12-degree recline range, while a waterfall seat edge distributes pressure evenly to reduce fatigue during long meetings. At just 20 lbs, the Trea is Living Product Certified — meaning it gives back more to the environment than it takes — with a high percentage of recycled and recyclable content throughout.

Winner of the Red Dot "Best of the Best" award in 2015 and the 2025 iF Design Award in the Office category, the Trea proves that sustainability and award-winning design aren't mutually exclusive. The chair measures 22"W x 22"D x 31"H with a seat height of 18.3 inches and supports up to 300 lbs. Available in Trea Lite in all-white shell, and upholstered versions in Corde fabric.
