Oversized brushstrokes, laid on by hand, over vase shapes pulled straight from the Kähler archive.

Meyer-Lavigne — Kristine Meyer and Sabine Lavigne — went into Kähler's historic forms and repainted them: wide horizontal bands in rose and light brown that read almost like patchwork. You can see the hand in every stroke, and the deep glazes give the color its weight. Two heights. Parent company Rosendahl Design Group is a Certified B Corp.

Are the stripes painted by hand?
Yes, and it shows. The bands are brushed on individually, so edges, overlaps, and color density vary from vase to vase — the visible hand is the point of the series.

How should I clean a Canvas vase?
Wipe it with a dry cloth. Kähler does not list Canvas as dishwasher safe, and the rich glazes are best kept away from detergent and heat.

Where do the shapes come from?
Kähler's own archive. Meyer-Lavigne took existing forms from the historic catalog and reworked only the surface, which is why the profiles feel older than the decoration.
