Lyngby Porcelain White Vases

Few Danish designs are recognized by silhouette alone; this fluted 1936 profile is one of them.

The Lyngby Vase became Lyngby Porcelæn's signature almost immediately after its 1936 debut, and the white porcelain version remains the definitive one — minimal, functional, and grouped as naturally as it stands alone. Each vase is made in Portugal in six heights. Parent company Rosendahl Design Group is a Certified B Corp.

Common Questions

Which size works for a full bouquet?
The 9.8 in and taller vases carry full bouquets; the 4.9 in and 6.1 in sizes suit single stems and small posies, and mixed heights group well on a shelf.

Is this really the original 1936 design?
Yes. The fluted vase launched in 1936, became one of the defining Danish designs of its decade, and is produced today to the same grooved profile.

How does the porcelain version differ from the glass one?
The porcelain vase is opaque with a glossy white glaze; the same silhouette also exists in mouth-blown glass, which reads lighter and shows the water line.

Care Guide +

Kähler and Bjørn Wiinblad ceramics are wiped with a soft, damp cloth — most decorative pieces are not dishwasher-safe due to hand-applied glazes and decoration. Do not soak. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Hand-painted details should never go in the microwave. Keep out of direct sunlight to preserve color depth, and store upright with felt pads between stacked pieces.
