Mix Teklan

Mix Teklan is created by Tekla Evelina Severin, also known as Teklan. With a nod to 70’s color palette, gemstones and the Mediterranean, Tekla has created a contemporary color scheme in earthy pastels that welcome you home.

First launched in 2016, Mix was originally designed by Norwegian designer Kristine Five Melvær, whose design plays with different rectangles in contrasting colors combined with each other. For Tekla Evelina Severin, it was important to show her appreciation for the original design in her new creation, contributing something new in her personal interpretation.

Designed for indoor use, the mat boasts a soft upper surface for a luxurious feel and features a robust rubber backing that serves multiple purposes:

• Dirt-trapping and Absorption: The mat excels in trapping dirt and absorbing moisture, keeping your space clean and welcoming.

• Moisture Prevention: The backing is engineered to prevent moisture from reaching your floor, ensuring the longevity of your indoor surfaces.

• Eco-friendly Composition: We care about the environment. The textile material of the doormat is crafted from 100% recycled materials (PET), offering sustainability without compromising on quality.

• Durable and Practical: With a height of approximately 7 mm, the doormat is designed for durability, offering excellent absorption properties for everyday use.

• Handcrafted Excellence: The production of Heymat doormats involves a significant amount of manual labor, resulting in a product that may exhibit slight deviations in size, color, and appearance. This uniqueness adds character and authenticity to each mat.

Nestled amidst the fjords and mountains of Northern Norway, Heymat began as a spark of ingenuity within a family business led by Sonja Djønne and Thoralf Lian. Vacuum the mat regularly.

Wash on hot when needed. Use a bleach-free detergent and vacuum the mat before washing. Dry the mat in the tumble dryer or hang up to dry. You can extend the life of your mat by regularly machine washing; we recommend that you do this 2–4 times a year.
