Nordic II Bed

A low, grounded stance and softened solid-oak edges make this bed the quietest piece in the room — deliberately.

Nordic II refines Ethnicraft's Nordic collection for the bedroom, with clean proportions drawn by designer Alain van Havre. The frame is solid European oak finished in natural hardwax oil, and built-in wooden slats support the mattress directly — no separate foundation needed. Queen and king sizes pair with the matching Nordic II bedside tables.

Do I need a box spring with the Nordic II Bed?
No. The bed includes built-in wooden slats that support the mattress directly, so a standard queen (60 by 80 inch) or king (76 by 80 inch) mattress is all you need.

What finish protects the oak?
A natural hardwax oil, which highlights the grain while guarding against daily wear. It can be refreshed over the years, letting the bed age gracefully rather than wear out.

Does the bed require assembly?
Yes, like most solid wood beds it arrives in parts and assembles in the bedroom — a practical necessity given the size of the solid oak frame. Two people make the job straightforward.

For regular dusting, use a dry cloth. For cleaning or in case of a spill, use a damp cloth and natural soap. Wipe in the direction of the grain. Do not use soap containing detergent or other chemicals. Dry with a soft clean cloth to prevent spotting.

We always recommend protecting surfaces with coasters, mousepads or placemats, as extreme and repetitive daily use or heat can damage the finish.
