Alain van Havre was playing with shapes when he found this one — negative space doing the sculptural work.
The Oblic Side Table belongs to a series of sculptural side tables the designer created for Ethnicraft, each a study in movement. It is carved from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified solid teak with a varnish finish, offered in brown or black tint, so the piece works as both functional table and standalone object.

How practical is it as a side table?
