Twice the shade of the standard 1227 pendant, scaled for islands and tables that need presence.
The Maxi enlarges George Carwardine's shade to 11.4 inches across without changing its balance, in gloss-painted steel with an adaptor plate for a standard 4-inch junction box. Hang one as a centerpiece or a row across a larger room. The standard and Giant sizes sit alongside it in our Anglepoise collection.

How much bigger is it than the standard 1227 pendant?
About double: an 11.4-inch shade versus 5.5 inches, with a long 98.4-inch cable for taller ceilings. Scale it to islands, dining tables, and stairwells.
What bulb does it use?
One E26 screw-fit bulb rated up to 10 watts — in practice an LED, which gives ample light at that rating. A bulb is not included in the box.
