PI Light Hanging Sideboard
Alain van Havre's PI collection keeps the curves the tree grew with, and the 2026 PI Light hanging sideboard slims that idea into an 88.5-inch mahogany cabinet that floats off the wall.
The PI Light hanging sideboard from Ethnicraft is the wall-mounted, slimmer-profile version of Ethnicraft's PI sideboard, with four push-to-open doors and two adjustable shelves behind them. Each PI piece is finished by hand so the softened, slightly irregular edges follow the character of the board rather than a router bit. At 18.5 inches high and 17 deep it works as a media unit under a television or as a dining-room sideboard with the floor left clear beneath. The mahogany is SVLK wood-legality certified and the polyurethane varnish is PFAS-free; wall-hanging hardware is included.

Common Questions
What does the wall need to support?
The cabinet weighs 176 pounds empty and is rated for 313 pounds loaded, so it must be fixed into studs or masonry with the supplied hanging hardware. We recommend a professional installer for drywall over metal studs.
Are the doors push-to-open?
Yes. All four doors use a tip-on mechanism, so there are no handles to break the front; press a door and it releases. Behind them are two adjustable shelves, each rated for 44 pounds.
Can it be used as a TV unit?
It can. At 18.5 inches high and 17 deep it sits comfortably below a wall-mounted screen, and the 88.5-inch width leaves clear wall either side of a 65-inch screen. Cable access depends on your wall; there are no factory cut-outs.
