The Port Side Table extends Jenkins & Uhnger’s Shinto-temple-influenced design language to a small-footprint side table. The Oslo-based design partnership of Trevor Jenkins and Christine Uhnger — whose work has been shown at Stockholm Furniture Fair and 3 Days of Design Copenhagen — designed Port around the visual lightness and structural durability of Japanese temple proportions, and the side table version condenses that logic into a minimal piece sized for compact spaces: bedside, sofa-side, or as a bookend to a sectional. Gently chamfered edges along the round top and the circular base soften every visible cut, while a sturdy central stem anchors the piece for daily use without the visual weight of a four-leg base. The whole construction reads as architectural rather than minimal-for-its-own-sake — a small piece doing real structural work.

Available in Oak or Walnut, with the matching timber used throughout the round top, central stem, and circular base — not the Black Stain finish that Case also produces. The compact circular footprint suits the awkward gaps where most side tables don’t fit — between a sofa arm and the wall, beside a reading chair, or as a bedside surface in a small bedroom where a four-leg base would catch the bedframe or floor obstacle. It also pairs naturally with the Port Rectangular and Port Square Coffee Tables for sectional arrangements that need both anchor pieces and reach pieces; the Shinto-influenced proportions read consistently across all three. Assembly is required; replaceable components follow Case’s standard repairability approach across the catalog. Finished with a clear, low-VOC sealer that can be re-oiled annually if the surface starts to dry, and the central stem construction means there’s no leg to bump into when sliding the table closer to a chair. TSCA Title VI and California Prop 65 compliant.

Case Furniture is a British design house founded in 2006 by Paul Newman, working with award-winning designers including Matthew Hilton, Jenkins & Uhnger, and Terence Woodgate. Pieces are built by vetted manufacturers in Lithuania, Italy, China, and Thailand — many holding FSC chain-of-custody certifications. Case treats durability as the most meaningful form of sustainability: over-engineered frames, replaceable components, and spare-parts support after production ends.

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth followed immediately by a dry one — never let water sit on the surface. Avoid direct sunlight for extended periods to prevent uneven fading. Maintain 40–60% indoor humidity to prevent cracking. Reapply furniture wax or oil annually using a product compatible with the wood species. Avoid silicone-based cleaners. Use coasters under hot mugs and felt pads under decorative objects to prevent surface marking.
