Ethnicraft is a renowned furniture brand that has been delivering quality, design, and sustainability for more than 30 years. Established in Antwerp by two friends, Benoit Loos and Philippe Delaisse, Ethnicraft has expanded from importing Indonesian furniture to producing its own unique collections.

Sustainability is at the heart of Ethnicraft's ethos, guiding every step of its manufacturing process. The brand uses responsibly sourced wood — teak on select lines, and teak and mahogany covered by Indonesia's SVLK timber-legality certification — promoting the use of renewable materials. The focus on a circular approach is evident through initiatives like Live Light and Re-Loved, which refurbish and extend the lifespan of Ethnicraft products, reducing waste and offering furniture a second life.

Ethnicraft also actively reduces its carbon footprint. The Serbian manufacturing site uses wood residue for energy, and Ethnicraft says its new headquarters near Antwerp is being supplied with green and solar energy from rooftop photovoltaic panels, part of its move to green energy and lower emissions. Waste reduction is integral to the brand, with leftover wood and sawdust being reused or repurposed to minimize environmental impact.

Through these sustainable practices, Ethnicraft creates high-quality furniture and accessories that blend form and function, with timeless designs that age beautifully. This commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship makes Ethnicraft a brand that not only enhances your home but also respects the planet.

For regular cleaning of the teak frame, use a soft brush or cloth with mild soapy water and rinse thoroughly. To maintain the natural honey-brown colour, apply Ethnicraft teak oil once or twice a year. For a silver-grey patina, leave untreated. Store cushions indoors when not in use. Cover furniture during extended periods of non-use or harsh weather.
