Second Nature Tray

Second Nature Tray Collection by Ethnicraft , designed by Dawn Sweitzer , draws directly from the quiet patterns found in nature—stacked stones, tree bark, and the layered markings of a turtle’s shell. Hand-printed glass is silk-screened with organic motifs in moss green and metallic inks, then framed by a brown-tainted teak veneer rim. Crafted with teak, it's part of Ethnicraft's commitment to sustainable, long-lasting outdoor living.

The contrast between translucent glass and warm wood gives the collection a grounded, tactile presence that feels both artistic and composed. Designed to be flexible, Second Nature trays work seamlessly with Ethnicraft’s compatible tray tables or on their own as decorative trays for coffee tables, consoles, or shelving. Offered across round, square, and oblong shapes in multiple sizes, each piece can be mixed, layered, or used individually. Subtle variations in the hand-printed glass are intentional—part of what makes each tray feel considered rather than mass-produced. Available at Comosum.

Ethnicraft +

Ethnicraft is a renowned furniture brand that has been delivering quality, design, and sustainability for over 25 years. Established in Antwerp by two friends, Benoit Loos and Philippe Delaisse, Ethnicraft has expanded from importing Indonesian furniture to producing its own unique collections.

Sustainability is at the heart of Ethnicraft's ethos, guiding every step of its manufacturing process. The brand uses responsibly sourced wood, ensuring it comes from FSC-certified and SLVK-compliant forests, promoting the use of renewable materials. The focus on a circular approach is evident through initiatives like Live Light and Re-Loved, which refurbish and extend the lifespan of Ethnicraft products, reducing waste and offering furniture a second life.

Ethnicraft also actively reduces its carbon footprint. The Serbian manufacturing site uses wood residue for energy, while the Belgian headquarters are powered by solar energy, demonstrating a commitment to green energy and lower emissions. Waste reduction is integral to the brand, with leftover wood and sawdust being reused or repurposed to minimize environmental impact.

Through these sustainable practices, Ethnicraft creates high-quality furniture and accessories that blend form and function, with timeless designs that age beautifully. This commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship makes Ethnicraft a brand that not only enhances your home but also respects the planet.
