Ethnicraft
Solid-wood furniture from Antwerp, made to age well
Benoit Loos and Philippe Delaisse founded Ethnicraft in Antwerp more than 30 years ago. It makes solid oak and teak furniture in its own factories, and its Re-Loved programme refurbishes pieces for a second life.
- Solid wood, oiled or water-based varnished
- Serbian factory runs on wood-residue energy
- Re-Loved: refurbished for a second life
Slice Tray
Muted tones over rich, nature-and-travel motifs — a tray series that rewards a second look.
The Slice Tray from Ethnicraft is made in Indonesia in two constructions: light-aged, silk-screen printed mirror within a wooden rim, or hand-painted, silk-screen printed wood. Both play rich pattern against a subdued palette, in sizes for side tables through ottomans.

Common Questions
What is the difference between the mirror and wooden versions?
The mirror tray layers its motif over lightly aged reflective glass; the wooden tray is hand-painted and printed on wood — lighter in weight and more matte in effect.
Are the trays each unique?
Subtly, yes — hand-painting and hand-guided screen printing introduce small variations in tone and registration that make each tray its own.
How do I clean a Slice tray?
Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry; avoid soaking and abrasive cleaners to protect the printed surface and wooden rim.
