Social Turn Chair

A 360-degree swivel under a moulded shell: turn toward whoever is talking without moving the chair.

Snøhetta drew the Social family for Varier in 2023, and the Turn keeps the same shell over a four-leg base with a full swivel. The moulded parts are 55–75% post-consumer polypropylene — 55.2% in the Turn by Varier's environmental product declaration — designed in Norway, made in Poland, and assembled without glue so the chair can be taken apart for recycling. Common Questions

What is the difference between the Turn and the Tilt?
The Turn swivels a full 360 degrees on a four-leg base; the Tilt rocks fore and aft on a curved base. Same shell, same colours, different kind of movement at the table.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Varier's UV-resistance and outdoor statement covers the Tilt only. Treat the Turn as an indoor chair — the warranty covers indoor residential use and excludes sun, damp, and temperature damage.

Can it be recycled at end of life?
Yes. Varier assembles the Social range without glue so every component separates, and the moulded parts are 55–75% post-consumer polypropylene to begin with.
