The Striped Bowl from Ethnicraft is made in Indonesia from black tainted mahogany with a water-based varnish finish. Functional and decorative in equal measure, it accessorizes dining tables and kitchen counters — for dry food only.

Can the Striped Bowl hold food?
Dry foods only — fruit, bread, nuts. Skip wet or oily foods, and never put solid wood in the dishwasher.
Where do the stripes come from?
They are carved and turned into the mahogany by Ethnicraft's Javanese artisans, so each bowl's rhythm and depth vary slightly.
How do I keep it looking good?
Wipe with a dry or barely damp cloth and dry immediately; the water-based varnish protects the surface without needing oiling.
