Paul Newman founded Case in 2005. Matthew Hilton and Terence Woodgate, both Royal Designers for Industry, have designed for it since the first collection, and it reissues Robin Day's 1964 Forum sofa with the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation.

Sum Pendant
An LED module wired straight to mains — no driver, no transformer — floats a 19.7-inch disc of light.
Terence Woodgate's Sum Pendant for Case Furniture reduces pendant lighting to a balanced composition: a white silicone shade around the module, a large floating disc above it, and a steel ceiling fixing with a magnetically secured cover. The result is soft, warm white light without visual noise.

No — the LED module is engineered to connect directly to mains power, which simplifies installation and removes the usual failure point of a separate driver.
What kind of light does it give?
Warm white 3000K, diffused through the silicone shade for a soft, even glow — suited to dining tables, kitchen islands, and bedrooms rather than task lighting.
How is it installed?
It hardwires to a ceiling point like a standard pendant, on a 2-meter cable with a steel fixing plate; the powder-coated cover snaps on magnetically for a clean finish.
