Over nine feet of Grade A solid teak anchor David Irwin's largest Tanso sofa.
Drawing on the clarity of Japanese furniture traditions, the Tanso 3-Seat Sofa carries the widest span in the Case Furniture outdoor series — 112.7 inches of naturally weather-resistant teak with UV-resistant polyester cushions. It anchors large gardens and covered terraces, and is refined enough to move indoors.

How much space does it need?
Allow at least a 10-foot run — the sofa is 112.7 inches wide and 37 inches deep. Its 386-pound assembled weight means it should be positioned once and left in place.
Are the cushions weatherproof?
They are covered in 100% UV-resistant polyester with grade 5+ colorfastness, so sun and light rain are fine. For long wet spells or winter, store them indoors and wipe clean with mild detergent.
Will the teak change color?
Yes — untreated Grade A teak weathers from golden to silver-grey outdoors. It is cosmetic, not structural; seasonal cleaning or teak cleaner preserves or restores the golden tone.
