Tiptoe LOU Bench

The LOU Bench scales up Tiptoe's LOU stool vocabulary into a full bench — same triangular geometry, same FSC/PEFC-certified European oak (PEFC/07-31-60) seat, same powder-coated steel legs, longer footprint. Designed by the Tiptoe design studio in Paris and produced in Lithuania, the LOU Bench works as everyday seating at a dining table, an entryway bench for putting on shoes, or an end-of-bed perch. The construction borrows directly from the modular table-leg system that put the studio on the map in 2015: the legs screw on, the seat unscrews for transport or recycling, and the entire piece ships flat. Tiptoe is a Certified B Corp (2021) and works with roughly 20 European partner workshops; the oak comes from sustainably managed European forests and the steel is the studio's structural workhorse, recyclable indefinitely.

Available in two lengths, both with a Graphite Black powder-coated steel frame paired with a natural oak seat: 35.4 in (90 cm, approx 22 lbs) and 55.1 in (140 cm, approx 29 lbs). The seat is roughly 11.8 in deep and sits at a standard 17.7 in bench height — comfortable as a dining or entryway perch. Assembly is a single-tool job with the supplied Allen key. Care: dust the oak with a soft cloth, wipe spills immediately, wax annually with a neutral furniture wax. The steel only needs a damp wipe with mild detergent. Fully demountable at end of life so steel and oak recycle separately. Available for backorder with a 6-10 week dispatch from Tiptoe's European factories.
