Tiptoe LOU Stool

Low stool, bedside surface, plant stand, kitchen step — the LOU was drawn to be at least four things.

Armand Serafini designed it around one round seat in PEFC/FSC-certified solid oak and four powder-coated steel legs that screw straight into it. The legs come off for transport and again at end of life, so the oak and steel recycle as single streams. Tiptoe is a Certified B Corp with a score of 90.6 — the matching bench and bar stool are in the Tiptoe collection.

How does the LOU stool go together?
The four powder-coated legs screw directly into the solid oak seat with the supplied screws, a single-tool job of a few minutes. It unscrews the same way for moving house or for recycling.

How tall is it?
The seat sits 17.7 in from the floor on a 12.6 in square footprint, with a round oak seat 11.8 in across. That is low-stool height, suited to a sofa side or bedside rather than a dining table.

How should the oak seat be cared for?
Dust it with a soft dry cloth and wipe spills immediately to avoid water rings. Apply a neutral furniture wax once a year; the oak develops a soft patina with use.
