Vertigo Pendant - 10 m Cable

Constance Guisset designed Vertigo in 2010, and Petite Friture says it has entered the collections of MoMA, the Cnap and the MAD; this one hangs from 10 m of cable instead of 3 m.

Vertigo is a broad, disc-like shade of polyurethane tape laid by hand onto a fiberglass and steel structure. Only the cable changes: 393.7 in (10 m) of textile mesh instead of the standard 118 in (3 m), and Petite Friture notes the cable sets the pendant's height. Made in France by Petite Friture, a certified B Corp since January 2026.

Common Questions

Why choose the 10 m cable?
Choose it when the drop from ceiling to shade is longer than the standard 118 in cable allows. Petite Friture doesn't publish a ceiling-height guide, so measure your drop first and ask us if you're unsure.

Does it come with a bulb?
No. Vertigo takes an E26 bulb, sold separately, rated to 40W maximum on Petite Friture's US spec sheet. Petite Friture suggests a warm 2700K globe of around 1,500 lumens, and a dimmable bulb makes it dimmable.

Is installation difficult?
Plan for two people and an electrician. The shade ships folded and Petite Friture advises two people to unfold it; the steel canopy is included.

White Glove delivery — scheduled two-person inside delivery, room-of-choice placement, assembly, and full packaging removal — can be selected at checkout on orders over $1,000: $250 on orders $1,000–$1,500, $150 on orders over $1,500.

For light cleaning, use a feather duster. For a thorough clean, wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth, slightly damp. Do not use compressed air, a dry duster or any detergent. Have a qualified electrician handle the installation.
